"It is clear from being in Ashley’s yoga classes that she has many years of experience and is knowledgeable about a variety of different yoga styles and practices but as a beginner, it still feels relaxed. There are still opportunities to challenge your mind and body throughout the session and the other participants were all so encouraging and kind."

It Is so Worth the Time and the Money
After several challenging years of my life, with many obstacles and heartbreaks, I came to the point where I just quite plainly needed rest. I am married to a combat veteran with PTSD and a traumatic brain injury. I have three children, two teenagers, and have experienced several losses in the last several years. I am entering perimenopause and experience quite a bit of anxiety on a daily basis, and I feel like I have to manage all of the things.
This retreat was an opportunity for me to get away, remember, and rediscover who I really am and develop a new set of goals and values for my life. Ashley and I came up with the phrase “midwife of perimenopause“ to describe what she does. For the first time in probably my entire life, I was nurtured by another human being. I work in the OB realm and deal with childbirth every day in my 9-to-5 job.
The way that Ashley cares for, listens to, and nurtures the souls of the women who go on these retreats, she is in fact, a midwife, as the word midwife literally means to be “with woman“. I honestly can’t explain the transformation that I went through, and I’m not sure that I would even be able to justify it with words. Ashley taught me to slow down, have fun, stop thinking so much, and enjoy the beauty all around me every day
I was able to relax in a way that I don’t think I’ve ever done in my life. I was able to set goals for myself of what I need from myself daily. This turned into me sitting down the evening after the retreat and writing out my needs for my family.
This one simple exercise helped me feel so much more in control of my life and connected to the world around me. For many years now, I have felt like I have the ability to have fun and just enjoy being where I am. Ashley gave that gift back to me.
Please do this. It is so worth the time and the money. This area is absolutely beautiful, and Ashley truly has a gift of hospitality. I never once felt awkward or out of place.

A Restorative Retreat in Charming Sturgeon Bay
Given the prevailing sense of chaos and overwhelm, this retreat provided a much-needed sanctuary.
What really drew me to this retreat was the thoughtful personalization. Knowing I prefer yin yoga, it was wonderful to find a program that catered to that, rather than just a generic flow schedule. The affordability was also a significant factor, and the host's quick, helpful responses made the planning process seamless. Overall, it felt like a genuinely welcoming and positive experience.
Ashley's genuine warmth, grounded presence, and innate kindness fostered an environment of easy connection. The retreat left me feeling remarkably refreshed and centered, particularly given the challenging circumstances.
I would wholeheartedly recommend and return for another retreat. Sturgeon Bay's charming locale and the delightful local town added significantly to the experience. While I found it exceptionally pleasant (though very cold!) during this time, I suspect its popularity might make it overly crowded/expensive in the summer months.

I recently attended a yoga retreat and it was fantastic! Our host, Ashley, was able to lead a variety of activities/workshops including reiki, nidra, forest bathing, meditations, and more. It was so nice to be able to have a holistic experience all organized and guided by one person. It really allowed us to immerse ourselves in the experience and not worry about the logistics. I particularly loved her yoga classes - she was able to lead a class based on whatever we wanted to work on that day and provided modifications for each of us as needed. Thank you for hosting us, Ashley! We cannot wait to return :) - - Katie. Ashley has the gift of being so intuitive with her clients. She knows how to make everyone feel so comfortable no matter what fitness level they are at as well as how to break down techniques. I felt that I really mattered and my voice was acknowledged if I had questions or needed modifications. Something that should be highlighted about Ashley is how authentic she is about her practice and caring about women. Her passion is so evident in her approach and she relates her own experiences in a professional way to help participants relate. Ashley gave me the feeling of renewal not only during my experience with her but as I walked out the door to face the world again. I truly feel I am a stronger woman after my sessions with her
