“saturday”
I recently saw something that called July “the Saturday of summer”. This resonated with me for all of its truth!
June is the wrap-up and it takes at least a week or two to energetically detox from the school year. It also is a time where you are setting new expectations and routines.
With June closing, the weather warming up and July now here- I am moving fully into July. The “Saturday”. This morning, we spent our morning gathering strawberries, the boys are now squirting one another with squirt guns, popsicles were a must at the store today and all I want for my afternoon is to slip into a good book.
Then will come “Sunday”. End of summer plans are being made, back-to-school events and mental dread of the summer coming to an end. First off, why do we think this way? Summer is not officially over until September 21! Summer JUST started 10 days ago.
This has me thinking- what do I want for this month?
I want:
Slow mornings with coffee
Fabulous veggies from our garden
Beach days
Bike rides
Dinners on the porch
Fun with friends
Time with family
LOTS of books
Painting and creating
I think that looks like a pretty full “Saturday”!
So if you stop around, and I post a picture, I hope I am doing something above! Because that means I am embracing all of what July has to offer.
This Week's A Door Within:
What do I want for this month?
Happy “Saturday”,
♥Ashley
