little flowers

Today, my son William, paused after we pulled into the driveway. “Oh Mom! Look at all the little blue flowers! Isn’t it beautiful?! That color blue is my favorite color. It is just lovely.” (I was unloading and moving on, ready to get on with our evening)

“Mom, did you look? They are just beautiful!”

He knew I didn’t, and called me out for my inaction. Thank you to all of the five-year-old’s who are far more patient, and kind than we.

I paused, looked, and couldn’t agree more. The Forget-Me-Nots against the chartreuse of a new spring is magical. I thank William for forcing me to pause long enough to “Forget-Me-Not”.

To pause and take in all of the beauty around me.

What a beautiful life we live and sometimes we are so swept up in the moment that we forget to pause.

So today, I invite you to pause.

This Weeks A Door Within:

  • What moment can you pause and enjoy today?

  • What moment can you invite another to pause and enjoy together?

  • What little voice is far more wise than you? Can you listen a little stronger to them?

With love and peace,

♥ Ashley

PS:

I had to change up retreat dates! I hope you can join me this summer for a day retreat or TWO!
